Fish & Co. is one of my favorite restaurants in Jakarta. As suggested by its name, the restaurant serves seafood mainly, as well as pastas and and others. I remember the first time I tried it was the outlet in Taman Anggrek Mall, but I’m writing about the other outlet in Gandaria City.
I remember back in 2000, I went to this restaurant in Mega Mall Pluit (now Pluit Village) that served this kind of food, too. And if my memory doesn’t fail me, I think it was Fish & Co. But maybe I’m wrong, I’m not sure about it. But then, it was so different from the one existing now, so yeah.
Without further ado, I’ll write about this outstanding restaurant.

The fish-shaped plate mats are one of the trademarks
For the appetizers, we ordered Chicken & Mushroom Cream Soup, which was the Soup of The Day. I think they change the soups everyday because it’s what written in the menu, so you always have to ask what the soup of the day is. It was good but tasted not much different from instant cream soups that you can find in regular stores.
Chicken & Mushroom Cream Soup – IDR 22.000+++
Another appetizer was the Caesar Salad with Smoked Salmon, so refreshing and unique. The salmon slices were not too thin, but I must say that I wasn’t really impressed by the portion of the salad. Usually I order salad for share, and this one? I don’t think that I will order this again in the future if I have to share with somebody. Nonetheless, the combination between salmon, fresh lettuces, croutons, and Parmesan cheese is really great.
Caesar Salad with Smoked Salmon – IDR 55.000+++
Smoked salmon served on a bed of romaine lettuce that is lightly tossed with caesar dressing. Garnished with homemade croutons and parmesan cheese.
Their specialties are the fish & chips, which are served in a pan. The first time I saw the presentation, I fell in love instantly. The gorgeous color of deep-fried fish shine more with the reflection from the pan. Served with fresh french fries and a slice of lemon, it looks so tempting. Not only that, they also offer variety of fish & chips, named Fish & Chips Around The World, which you can choose based on the special dressings according to related countries.
This time we settled with the New York one, a classic all-time favorite fish and chips with generous parmesan cheese stuffing, topped with lemon butter sauce -as cited from their website. It was really good, indeed. What I love about their fishes are that they’re always so fresh.
New York Fish & Chips – IDR 79.000+++
Not full with that, we ordered the Black Tiger Prawn Pizza. Honestly, I’m not really a fan of seafood pizzas, but as I tried this, I must say I was impressed. The sweetness of prawn combined with the salty cheese, added with flavors of spiciness from wasabi mayonnaise, I think it’s very innovative. The bread was so crispy, as it’s not original pizza bread but pastries, totally unique.
Black Tiger Prawn Pizza – IDR 89.000+++
Marinated black tiger prawn and baked with mozzarella cheese on puff pastry brushed with wasabi mayonnaise
Last but not least, what I like about them is the Fish Quenchers, that is the special drinks that are served in large glass. They have some options, but that time we settled with the Jungle Freeze, contains some tropical fruits like pineapples, rambutans, etc. We can also pick some certain drinks that are refillable with no limit, drink-like-a-fish.
Jungle Freeze – IDR 39.000+++

Thanks for visiting me back -and exchange links with me =)
Thanks for the info, I wasn’t sure about it but I remember it was Fish&Co. too, maybe the same case with Burger King. You know, BK was brought to Indonesia in 90s and was closed down, it just got popular after being brought again by another company.
