RASA Restaurant, InterContinental Jakarta MidPlaza

Within the same week after attending the Exclusive Chef Table Dinner hosted by Chef Gianluca Visciglia at Scusa Italian Restaurant, I came back to InterContinental Jakarta MidPlaza in the weekend for a delightful staycation followed by a Brunch at RASA Restaurant located on the same floor (2F) in the hotel.

To commemorate International Mother’s Day which is celebrated on May 10th, 2015, InterContinental Jakarta MidPlaza offers a special extensive buffet of delicious cuisine prepared by the Executive Chef Gianluca Visciglia at RASA restaurant.

RASA, meaning “taste” in Indonesian, provides open kitchen with live cooking stations showcases cuisines from around the world along with local favorites.

The restaurant has a very elegant look, starting from the high ceiling, dark-colored wooden materials, and the beautiful wall panels. The decorations are simple yet luxurious, giving a traditional and royal touch to the spacious room.

The buffet stations are well-organized and very nicely arranged, from the central station in the center of the room (Salads and Cold Appetizers, Japanese, Pasta, Bread & Cheese, Desserts, etc), Chinese cuisine by the side, and also the International cuisine station behind the main station offering large variety of dishes: Western, Middle Eastern, as well as Indian.

Seeing all the beautiful food and creations, I practically lost myself and tried everything. The food look so inviting and the best thing about them is that they are freshly served. I don’t think my words can describe what I experienced that time, so please enjoy the photos!

Beside the buffet stations inside the restaurant, we can also order grilled stuffs from the outdoor station. This is another good thing about RASA restaurant, the seating area is divided into indoor and outdoor area, and better yet, the outdoor area is also very beautiful because it overlooks the swimming pool. I tried the grilled stuffs and loving the sausages for sure!

Then, of course, the magnificent dessert station is a must explore when you are in RASA! There are just SOOO many things they offer here, from cakes, puddings, mousse, macarons, made-by-order crepes, gelato, and fondue. YUMMY!
