Fried mushrooms stuffed with cream cheese.
The fried mushrooms were very crunchy and had nice aroma, probably from the frying oil. It was quite tasty but not salty. I am not a cream cheese fan nor eater, but I enjoyed this a lot.
Osso Buco Al Sugo Rosso Con Purea Di Patate IDR 180K
This was a mashed potato topped with shredded beef and the bone marrow. The potato was very soft and delicious, because it was steamed instead of boiled. The meat was very tender and tasty, the red sauce was perfect. The best part was the bone marrow itself, very soft and rich in flavor.
Basil Lemonade IDR 32K
Basil drink is always nice, and this is definitely a must try if you like basil, basil seeds, or whatever related to basil. The lemonade was strong and sour, but the basil gave another aromatic and tasty twist into it. I think it’s probably not something that can be everybody’s favorite, so you either love it or hate it.
Watermelon Lemonade IDR 32K
Watermelon has its distinct taste, so it’s difficult to pair this fruit in a drink because most of the time, it will dominate overpower the other taste. This one was quite enjoyable though because I could still taste both the watermelon and lemonade, but certainly wasn’t my favorite. The watermelon was blandly sweet (does “blandly” word even exist? LOL!) and there was just something not right with this, like the feeling of lacking some taste. However, trying won’t hurt!
Spaghetti Chitarra Genova-Napoli IDR 65K
Homemade spaghetti Chitarra squid ink with mussels, fresh basil pesto, roast tomato and Pecorino cheese. It is not new menu but it was recommended by our host and it was indeed amazingly good! The spaghetti (which BTW looked more like tagliatelle or fettuccine to me) was dark black because it was made using Chitarra squid ink, tasted like real squid ink complete with slight hint of bitterness and I was amazed! It wasn’t al dente but a bit hard and very chewy, a kind of pasta texture that I love so much. The mussels were fresh and easily pulled out from the shells, soft and smooth. The sauce was bold, strong and super tasty creating a harmonious combination with the already-tasty pasta itself. Thumbs up! And now, it’s fair enough if I say that this was our favorite that day!
Iced Honey Citron IDR 28K
Combination between honey and citrus drinks complimented with orange peel slices, this drink was very refreshing and a good company for creamy, cheesy Italian food.
Panna Cotta Al Caffe IDR 33K
For me, good panna cotta should have jiggly texture that is immediately visible when you move the plate. This one instantly passed the test and I wasn’t disappointed when eating it. The panna cotta was very soft and smooth, with strong coffee aroma and taste that was totally pleasant! And trust me, one piece will never be enough, LOL!
