One of the perks living in a country with lots of diversity is being able to experience a lot of cultures in one place. Food in every country is uniquely different, but in a place like Australia, we can taste almost everything on daily basis. This time I am gonna write about a Mexican food chain which is quite popular here, Guzman Y Gomez, which already has so many outlets all over the country. With concept of casual Mexican restaurant, it easily fulfills my craving for authentic Mexican food, which I hardly meet in Indonesia.

I went to their outlet inside MacArthur Square in Campbelltown and it was the best choice because this outlet is located in the outside, so there are options to sit outdoor to get better daylight for photography. However because it was very sunny and hot that day, we chose to sit inside. The system is like typical Australian casual cafes/restaurants, where we make our orders at the counter first.

Basically the options are quite satisfying, from burritos to enchiladas, tacos, nachos, fajitas, quesadillas, you name it. And for the meat, selection is quite good, from beef, chicken, even fish. Nice!
In the sauce station, we also can get variety of sauce we need like Habanero (extra spicy), Smokey Chipotle (spicy) and Roasted Jalapeno (mild). I like them all but my favorite is the Habanero because it is very spicy, bold and kicking! However, I didn’t really use these sauces for my burritos because they are already served with enough spices and seasonings.

Steak Chipotle Burrito Enchilada AUD 14.90
Marinated Aussie Flank steak, fire-grilled and hand-cut with rice, Jack cheese, vegetarian black beans, salsa, rolled in a flour tortilla, then topped with salsas, melted Jack cheese, crema, guacamole, and corn chips.
Rather than usual burrito, I made my order enchilada so I got a burrito plate with additional salsa, cheese etc and corn chips! You have no idea how greedy I can be when given an option to choose the ingredients of my Mexican plate, LOL! XD First impression: it is HUGE! Like, seriously. The roll is literally stuffed with black beans and rice, and also the steak chipotle were given very generously. Overall, it was sooo tasty. I thought I wasn’t gonna be able to finish it all myself, but I actually did. I really love the  colorful (view and taste) and as I am writing this, I am craving for it again now. T__T

Steak Chipotle Salad AUD 11.00
Mixed greens, corn, cucumber, Pico de Gallo salsa, GYG’s vinaigrette and steak chipotle.
This was even more beautiful with all the colors and everything, and I think this can be a great choice for a couple who wants to share their food, especially when the woman wants to eat salad only. The amount of the steak chipotle on the plate was crazy, so the man can still be happy 😉

AUD 1 Drink Can or Water – valid during lunch time Monday to Friday for every purchase of any menu item.

Some of the pictures are taken from my brother’s blog ELECTREATS as we are cooperating during this Sydney trip (because, too bad my photographer a.k.a. Mr. K can’t join this trip), so big thanks to him for letting me use his photos and make sure to visit his blog too! <33
