Shiok! is a restaurant which claims to serve Singaporean street food that I found coincidentally when I was walking around looking for a place to eat in Gandaria City. The restaurant itself is located just next to Lollipop’s Playland & Cafe, and it doesn’t really stand out because the Lollipop is usually very crowded with kids. It looks quite dark from far away, but I decided to give it a try because the restaurant looks comfortable from outside. Another reason because I wanted to know how “shiok” I could be. Because as much as I know, “shiok” is a very famous word uttered by Singaporeans when they eat/drink something very delicious or special. At least that is what I learned from my fellow Singaporeans!
I have to say that the “Mr. Sing” propaganda is just too cute,
and we can look at his face the whole time because it’s our table mat! :p
Duck Fried Rice – IDR 35.000
Just like another fried rice. I couldn’t even feel the duck at all, oh well.

Shiok! Ifu Mie – IDR 36.000
The noodle was crunchy, and the soup was good.

Hainan Chicken Rice – IDR 33.000
Ordering hainan chicken rice is like a must thing to do when eating Singaporean food, lol.

Shiok! Fried Noodle – IDR 33.000
Just like what I expected from Singaporean street food, mixed flavors and smelled so good!
Iced Teh Tarik – IDR 17.000
Food:
Fairly nice, although honestly there is almost nothing special about their food. If you usually cook simple Asian dishes by yourself, then you probably can skip this.
Price:
Standard.
Service:
Good.
Ambience:
Love the place, comfortable setting for tables/chairs, dim lights in some corners make it good for dates, too 🙂
