Last Saturday, I tried this Japanese restaurant in Pacific Place with my sister and brother-in-law. Thanks to my sister who is always up-to-date about promotions of restaurants in the town Too bad my partner couldn’t join us this time, although I’m pretty sure if he was there, he would have enjoyed the food and the place as much as we did!
Back to the promotion. Well, Rakuzen was holding a promotion of All-You-Can-Eat for just Rp. 188.000,- +++/person. And the champaign said that you can pick from more than 90 dishes (from appetizers to desserts), which attracted us immediately. So we decided to give it a try and might as well write reviews about it. Thanks to my brother in law who took the pictures with his iphone because the photos that I took with my camera turned out not so well This time I just used 3-4 of my own pictures, so sad. Talking about dependency to my partner for his photography skill…
Well, anyway, here we go.
The front-view of the restaurant, very elegant and luxurious.
Beautiful Nameplate and Photos
Dome-shaped ceiling and modern interior design really gives a kick!
We get this on each table, which is neat.
Leaf-shaped Wasabi, it’s a tiny stuff but I find it very cute.
Chuka Wakame (Seasoned Seaweed)
Chuka Kurage (Seasoned Jellyfish)
Kanimayo (Kani Stick Flake with Mayonnaise)
Carpaccio of Salmon
Chawan Mushi (Japanese Custard Egg)
Agedashi Tofu (Deep-fried Tofu with Tempura Sauce)
Unagi Kabayaki (Whole Roasted Eel with Sauce)
Cranky Salmon Roll
Kushiyaki Moriawase (Assorted Skewered Grills)
Kushiyaki – Gyutan (Ox Tongue) & Hotate (Scallop)
Kushiage – Mochi Beef
Ogura Ice Cream
Taste-wise, the food are nice but not the best. The sushi rolls didn’t look too pretty, shape is not good and very easy to break down. I felt so thirsty the whole day after I ate there, and drinking lots of water didn’t really help. But nonetheless, this restaurant is okay, I’ll definitely come back again.
